Set within a military camp along the Kenya-Somalia border, the Kenya Special Operations Forces who are training for their next mission receive word that the Assistant County Commissioner and two others have been abducted by the Al-Shabaab militia. Under the leadership of Captain Baraza, the soldiers make attempts to rescue the abductees and capture or eliminate the enemy amidst tough conditions.

5. It has been nominated in several international movie awards like ZIFF, UNIMA, LIPFF and AMAA.

7. Mission To Rescue had 3 working titles before it was released.

14. The filming ended during the lock down and the cast and crew were stuck in Samburu for a week after filming.

16. During filming and due to COVID-19 restrictions, all amenities were closed so the cast and crew had learn to live together.
17. The stunt men played more than one scene in the movie.
18. Actors learnt the Somali language on set.
19. The car flip did not work on the ramp so the stuntman had to force it to flip.
20. It was Lwanda Jawar's first car flip.
21. It was filmed during the rainy season and there were insects that used to torment the cast and crew.
22. It bagged 2 Awards at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF).
23. It has been screened in over five Universities in Kenya.
24. The car chase was done in two different locations.
